Did you know that RITZ® Original flavor are what I like to call “accidentally” vegan? They weren’t created with the intention of being vegan, but lucky for us…they just happen to BE vegan. I was thrilled to be a part of this campaign and decided to celebrate the fruits and vegetables available in spring. To give you some inspiration to create your own RITZ® Snackify toppers, here are just a few originals that I came up with…
First off, we have our RITZ® cracker with a vegan cream cheese infused with herbs such as parsley, chives and thyme. Simply topped with a baby radish, it’s absolutely stunning.

For my next RITZ® cracker, I sweetened vegan ricotta with agave nectar and topped with a slice of plum. Drizzle a bit more agave as a finishing touch. It’s salty and sweet. My favorite combination.
Oh, and by the way…you’ll easily be able to locate a variety of RITZ® in the cracker aisle at your local Walmart. Look at all of those options! (Just a side note, not all are vegan so we stuck with the Original flavor).
I just LOVE how this next cracker turned out. Once again using vegan ricotta, I mashed up fresh peas, added a touch of garlic and vegan parmesan (you could also use nutritional yeast, grated walnuts, etc. in its place). A drizzle of olive oil, a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a sprinkle of salt and pepper round out the ingredients list. If you like the flavor, mint and peas go really well together so consider adding a small sprig of fresh mint here. I found these tiny sugar snap peas which I think really make this presentation special.
This one is a favorite. I topped my RITZ® with a dab of vegan cream cheese and a Kalamata Olive Tapenade. The tapenade consists of Kalamata olives, capers, lemon juice, olive oil and salt. I finished with a drizzle of olive oil and freshly cracked black pepper. So good!
And last, but certainly not least, a RITZ® topper that even Elvis would be proud of! That’s right…this one is an ode to Elvis. The peanut butter and banana sandwich has long been referred to as a favorite of Elvis Presley in the mention of many books over the years. We took a few creative liberties with the recipe and topped our RITZ® with a natural smooth variety of peanut butter, a slice of banana, flakes of coconut bacon and a drizzle of agave nectar. Somehow it just works 🙂
