2largeApples (Fuji or Gala)peeled, core remove and sliced/diec.
1/3cWateror apple juice/apple cider if you have it
1tbspBrown Sugarlight or dark (although the dark contains molasses, which will alter the taste slightly)
1 1/2tspCornstarch
3/4tspCinnamonor more to taste
Instructions
Peel, core and slice the apples. Place into the saute pan with either water or juice, Cook over medium high heat for about five minutes or until they just start becoming tender.
Add the cinnamon and cook until it incorporates a bit, then add the cornstarch. Cook for another few minutes.
Once done to desired tenderness, remove the pan from the heat and add the vanilla extract. Cool slightly.
