I am already a huge fan of So Delicious products (you’ll find I use their coconut creamer and coconut or almond milks in my recipes almost exclusively), so I was really excited to receive samples of So Delicious Dairy Free Almond Milk products for the purpose of review.
The yogurts are all 150 calories or less and come in 6 oz. containers. They are thick and creamy and each offer 2-3 grams of protein. They are both soy and dairy-free, as well as low in sugar.
The creamers I absolutely adore. I currently use the original flavor coconut creamer for cooking. ALOT. They are a really nice alternative to heavy cream. Thicker than the milks themselves. The french vanilla, while perfect for use as a coffee creamer, would make a nice addition to any smoothie! No dairy, soy, high fructose corn syrup, trans fats, carrageenan or artificial flavors. Non-GMO Project Verified and Certified Vegan. All reasons why I love this brand.
Let’s just jump right into the product reviews, shall we?
So, I received the Almond Milk Original and French Vanilla Creamers along with the Cultured Almond Milk Plain, Strawberry, Blueberry, Chocolate and Vanilla Yogurts.
Let’s start with the yogurts. Below I’ve opened the chocolate, strawberry (lower left) and blueberry (lower right). First off, the texture is amazing! Thick and creamy. The chocolate is almost like pudding. The strawberry has a bit of a mild flavor with chunks of fruit and the blueberry, a much more pronounced fruit flavor than the strawberry, again with visible fruit.
The plain yogurt I will be using for a savory dish later this week and the vanilla … I saved for later enjoyment 🙂 My favorite!
But even though I am partial to vanilla, this one was the clear winner! Blueberry. Surprising, since I would never eat blueberries straight but it was so A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Seriously, I must’ve said it about 5 times while sampling. You must try this one!!
I knew I was going to be making this Mixed Berry Yogurt Smoothie using the blueberry yogurt and it was difficult to give it up 🙂 But I did. And that was amazing as well! I even had some of the smoothie left over, so I froze it to make into another one tomorrow. It froze beautifully.
