To make this recipe, you will need the following recipes. They include:
- Cabbage, core removed and cut into 1″ pieces
- Vegan Margarine
- Salt
- Black Pepper

How to make Easy Sauteed Cabbage Recipe
Remove the core from a head of cabbage and slice into 1″ thick pieces, then into chunks. This need not be perfect as the pieces will eventually break apart during the cooking process.

Add the cabbage to a large non stick skillet with the vegan margarine. Season well with salt and pepper. We’ll be seasoning again after the cabbage has cooked as well.

Cover with a lid until the cabbage begins to wilt down a bit. This just helps expedite the process as the lid creates a bit of steam. The cabbage is much easier to stir after this process has occurred.

Remove the lid and give everything a good stir. Continue to cook and stir over high heat until desired tenderness is reached.

You should have some browned bits and a variety of textures. I like a bit of crunch in my cabbage, but feel free to cook until it is the way you prefer it. Taste for seasoning and add a bit more salt and pepper, if desired.

Easy Sauteed Cabbage Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 medium Cabbage core removed and cut into 1" pieces
- 2 tbsp Vegan Margarine
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
Instructions
- Add vegan margarine to a large non stick skillet over medium heat until melted.
- Meanwhile, remove the outer leaves and core of a medium head of cabbage. Cut into 1" pieces.
- Add the cabbage to the skillet and season well with salt and pepper. Cover with a lid just until it starts to wilt. This will just expedite the process and make it easier to stir.
- Remove the lid and over high heat, continue to stir and cook to desired doneness.
- Taste for seasoning and add more salt and pepper, if desired. Serve immediately.
